- Case of a new yacht purchased in France
Serial vessel - standard tonnage
The yacht broker - whether a shipyard or agent - will, upon delivery of the vessel, give you the "builder's and tonnage certificates", or a "certificate of compliance" with the indication of its standard tonnage.
Small series unit, or single vessel built on a professional shipyard
The yacht must be measured before it is launched, and,
- either the builder carries out this formality,
- either you get in touch with the relevant Customs Office,
- or, why not entrust CAP Maritime Services with all your administrative worries.
- Case of a French registered second-hand yacht
The yacht should be submitted to the Customs only in the case of alterations, which, in all events, must be approved by the French Maritime Office.
CAP Maritime Services is specialised in the certification of yachts and will be glad to help and advise you where legal rules and specifications are concerned.
